The SV-Load setup process is simple and logical

Step 1 – Simple setup

We establish key contacts – within your business and discuss project aims and proposed user journey specifications as well as estimated timetables, scale and targets. Access to the target test site will allow our load test engineer to pick out areas of key functionality, each of which can be covered by a separate user journey.

Our team analyse historical user traffic – ideally, a brief analysis of historical user traffic will be used by our team to verify that the areas selected are suitable for incorporation into the test model.



Our preparation is detailed and thorough

Step 2 – Real world preparation

We design your load test model – to match real-world page targets and metrics such as user journey times and conversion rates. The number of journeys and mix of journeys will be finalised at this stage as well as drop-of ratios and a technical project plan will be prepared in conjunction with your technical experts.

Our technical team use their expertise to create the required dynamic user journeys – making intelligent choices from page content just liked real users. Comprehensive pre-test checks will be run at an agreed time to ensure that the target site is fully functional, users are behaving as intended and that the load model is accurate.



We manage load testing for actionable results

Step 3 – Realistic Load testing

SciVisum specialists execute the main load test with the results monitored and analysed in real-time, in conjunction with your own technical experts where appropriate

A summary of the results will be sent immediately after the test, detailing whether the test targets have been met, as well as the peak throughput measured and any initial insight into the performance issues encountered.



We’ll deliver a detailed report for discussion

Step 4 – Actionable reporting & recommendations

The final report will contain a breakdown of key performance metrics such as delivery times and the errors encountered by users, and will include the tester’s analysis and recommendations, tailored to your specific project requirements and stakeholders. Internal server monitoring can be included to help pinpoint performance bottlenecks. The report will be delivered to specified contacts and discussion will be invited and encouraged on any of the points covered.

It may be appropriate to consider a monitoring trial using the load test user journeys, especially during a post-test release or peak trading period – your SciVisum account manager can arrange this.
